Ideas for improved gaming in OB

Just few ideas that crossed my mind when thinking about OB.

1. At level 18-20, find a party of 4 or 5 ppl and run through the queens n times, where n = number of members, giving all drops to different player each time. This way after 2 or 3 hours of playing each one of you will have a full set of patiences, and possibly quite a few other sowels. I believe its worth it ;]

2. If you have a soulmate, try to stick with him most of the time... Apple rox!
(i know this one is obvious but some ppl forget about this)

3. Whereas all quests in Alpen can be done alone easily, for River party of 3 or 4 gives a real boost.

4. Dont upgrade too much. Until lev 20 weapon +3 and unupgraded armor are enough

I think thats it. If any of you have other tips, please share ;]

question: wat is the apple for ?? o.0 been wondering if it was bonus exp or something

.use tele scroll to get back to town faster (found in misc shop)

.try to upgrade ur equips only if they got 2+ sowel slots, b/c i think its juss a waste to upgrade the normal 1 and then later u find 1 with 2 slot and u juss wasted money =P

.if u have a SM (soul mate) and u have the teleport skill at like lvl 10?? i think, 1 of u save ur respawn at Aplan and 1 at Silaris that way it will make it easier for the 2 of u to acess the town w/o doing that whole 5 minutes walk in between >..<

.put all ur mats in bank whenever u get alot to reduces ur weight so u can carry more pots, i personally put them in bank after i got about 200+ and leave 1 left in the slot so it dont mess up my inventory when i find more of it again
same goes with equips also, put the 1 u dont use in bank cause they really add a big # onto ur weight

i allways had all my gear once lvl 10+ upgraded to atleast +4
and once i got to 30 upgraded it mentaly till i had no gold lol
got my wep to +9 =>

Upgrading higher then +3 doesnt have much sense before 20-25... The dmg increase is negligible and costs are tremondous.

About the SM teleport. SM is shared for account, so all you have to do is make a lev 1 char stand in alpen, relog and summon with this 'spare char'. Then the SM summons u and youre all clear ;p (back to Sili with a scroll)


Apples are bonus xp, but can be eaten only when gold, and used to bug (dissapear and not show up later) in CB alot.

Double click it when it turns gold.
But remember to ask your soulmate how do you share the apples, becouse when you eat it he cannot (until you gather xp for next one), and vice versa

if you have a healer sm (or a healer thats leveling with you in general) you can make it to a little less than 20 or so without having to buy armor or def sowels at all, let alone have to upgrade it. agreed, 3-4 member parties are the ideal size for pretty much every map other than alpen duoing works, but when you start having to run dungeons it can be excruciatingly slow.

after 20, start upgrading a little. and yeah, you should definitely run through queens with your sm until you all have a full set of patiences at least. theyre of decent strength, easy to get, and free, so theres nothing to lose the option sowels are also invaluable as you level, because the dropped option sowels (the eyes) give small boosts and must be upgraded to give you anything decent. upgrading sowels can be expensive at early levels.

in the 30's, youll have enough cash to go hardcore on your upgrades because youll be 3x for quite a while. i would suggest if you make or join a guild at this level to run through spades castle with a trusted group that will 'need before greed'. its much much slower to run than queens, but the option sowels are pretty nice, and while the patiences arent really that stellar, theyre free, so youre saving a hell of alot of g by collecting the set rather than buying merch sowels. its also decent exp for a while. you can get some rare equipment drops from bosses there, too.

at any time you see a rare mob (purple name) or a boss mob (has a red spiky cog rather than a gold cog on their profile), destroy it they can drop some excellent option sowels, and also holy water for uncursing sowels. they have gotten ALOT tougher in micmac (japanese asda), so be wary of that if OB gets those changes.

if youre a healer/supporter mage and dont use any attack spells at all, you dont ever need to buy or upgrade staffs. once you get a two slot staff, thats all youll ever need (other than purely for the coolness factor). this can save you alot of money until you have so much cash that you can blow it trying to make an epic staff (+10), theres absolutely no need to raise your magic damage when youll never cast attack spells. making an epic staff will amplify your option sowel thats in your staff though, so when youre super high level and super rich, itll be worth it.

Ahhh, been wondering where the hell do you obtain holy water for uncursing sowels...

The upgrade chance of sowels sucks tbh, after +2 onwards i'll definitely fail for all the "eye-named sowels"...

And how do you share apples =P I've been out of the loop since the 3rd day of CB cuz of "Unable to connect to server" 24/7 =D

Thats strange admin, out of 5 sowels i usually get 3-4 to +3 and 1-2 to +4 (and 0 to +5 ;p).

i got my shield swoel to +7 from +3 =D
prolly wasted like 8 shield swoels to get 1 there

theres two kinds of holy water: holy water for basic, and holy water for option. each of them have a set level range of sowels they can upgrade. you just double click the water then click on the sowel ^^

note, though: option sowels from dungeons, and sowels from quests, cannot be upgraded. pretty much the only sowels that can be upgraded are the dropped 'eye' option sowels, and dropped basic sowels, iirc.

upgrading sowels to +2 is safe, but +3-+10 have increasing chances to become 'cursed'. 'cursed' sowels can still be used, but they have 50% of their power (meaning theyre pretty much useless). you can 'uncurse' them with holy water for uncursing, which is a drop from bosses, rare mobs, and some higher lvl mobs.

I would suggest adding wasd movement to the game, just since some people like the "d-pad" feel...

LOL! Just tried logging in, just for fun. Guess what, we can login and play and everything lol. So we can still test some things out.

yeah, i'm doing the same.. Question, does anyone know the spawn location of the boss/rare mobs?

For a fact.

Some bosses have more than one location.

There is a lvl 10 stampedge kinda boss North West of alpen,

And there's that wicked boss that spawns in the back around that one tower, quest boss...

and there is that troubled wolf west of the map, also a Quest boss.

Ok, lvl 26 Boss in RR, the dude with the striped arms, he has like 4 spawn point: one by ziprolls in front of silaris portal at the tree, the other is in the corner along the river on the other side of the tree where ben sits. The other two spots I forgot.

exiled thorny homeless dude , not really a boss. Also a quest boss which is north and by dirty shrooms, spawns about every hour. Usually drops Useless Purification water.

So...

I'm guessing there is only about 2-3 bosses per map.

In Silaris there is one Jester above great grass land near red woodforks I rarely see him anymore, Captain ammon claws is above the east bridge but he's bugged so you'll see him running around the whole map sometimes. Spawns like a minute after you killed. Also drops useless Purification. There is one more. Saw him but was too lazy to confront.
